Heilman: "Start Me or Trade Me"

dam Rubin of the Daily News reports that Aaron Heilman wants to start instead of being in the bullpen or get traded to have a opportunity to start somewhere else.

According to Rubin, the Mets front office appears split on trading the right hander. The Mets have six teams that are interested in him.

I think this is a excuse to get Heilman out of town, he has worn out his stay in New York especially after the year he had last year.

One defense of Heilman , he was always overused. He has pitched 305 games in his short career. In the last three years 233, that's alot of games...Aaron Heilman's thinking is probably if he starts he will only pitch every 5th day and thirty something games a year instead of having to be ready almost everyday.

Mets should be smart with this and fill a need with Heilman in a trade. They should look to make a trade for Tampa Bay's starter Edwin Jackson, who will be available...
