Mets: "They're All In" on K-Rod, Mets have Interest in Abreu??

Jason Stark Reports on his ESPN Blog:

Executives of two different clubs told us this week not to believe the Mets when they downplay their interest in Francisco Rodriguez. "Whatever you've heard," said one, "they're all in on K-Rod."

Both officials predicted that Rodriguez eventually will come off his demand for five years and take three years, with a vesting option, to sign with the Mets because, in the words of one exec, "he'd like to go there, and they know that guy can pitch in New York."

We're also hearing talk connecting the Mets with Bobby Abreu, although Abreu's initial asking price (three years, $45 million) isn't close to what they had in mind.
